Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.76% or 6.3 points to trade at 234.8 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 1.17% or 2.3 points to end at 198.3 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 0.72% or 1.0 points to 140.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 6.99% or 0.27 points to trade at 3.54 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 5.44% or 0.06 points to end at 1.04 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 4.65% or 2.22 points to 45.48.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 88 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.64% or 1.69 to $44.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.59% or 1.75 to hit $46.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.60 to trade at $1278.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.4369, while USD/NOK fell 0.72% to 8.3688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 96.44.
