Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 1.30% or 0.9 points to trade at 74.1 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.04% or 3.6 points to end at 349.9 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.06% or 0.02 points to 34.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 14.31% or 4.4 points to trade at 26.5 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 7.35% or 1.59 points to end at 20.03 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 5.97% or 0.12 points to 1.92.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 134 to 33 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.81% or 0.39 to $47.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $48.51 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.68% or 21.45 to trade at $1252.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.40% to 9.3621, while USD/NOK rose 0.55% to 8.3538.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.27.
