WisdomTree Trust - WisdomTree Japan Interest Rate Strategy Fund is an exchange traded fund launched by WisdomTree Investments, Inc. The fund is co-managed by WisdomTree Asset Management, Inc., Western Asset Management Company, Western Asset Management Company Limited, Western Asset Management Company Pte. Ltd, and Western Asset Management Company Ltd. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United States and Japan. The fund takes long positions and uses derivatives like forward currency contracts to invest in market capitalization weighted U.S. treasury bills that have a remaining maturity of greater than 1 month and less than 3 months and short positions to sell market capitalization weighted investment grade Japanese government bonds issued by the Japanese government as well as its agencies and local authorities with a remaining maturity that is greater than 5 years and less than 10 years. It also invests through a wholly owned Cayman Islands subsidiary. The fund seeks to track the performance of the WisdomTree Japan Interest Rate Strategy Index, by using representative sampling technique.
