Investment Strategy

The investment seeks the highest possible total return consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests at least 75% of the fund's total assets in investment-grade, intermediate- and long-term corporate bonds, including dollar denominated foreign corporate bonds, securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, mortgage- backed securities, asset-backed securities, securities issued by the Federal National Mortgage Association or the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, CMOs, and high quality money market securities. It may lend portfolio securities to broker-dealers and other financial institutions.
