Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 16.25% or 4.80 points to trade at 34.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) added 1.23% or 0.27 points to end at 22.27 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.12% or 0.36 points to 32.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 4.39% or 0.22 points to trade at 4.79 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.43% or 0.078 points to end at 3.130 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 2.14% or 0.21 points to 9.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 83 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.69% or 0.82 to $49.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.22% or 0.56 to hit $46.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.51% or 5.90 to trade at $1141.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1021, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.7136.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 96.89.
