Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.05% or 180.0 points to trade at 8940.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.93% or 220.0 points to end at 11620.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 1.23% or 50.0 points to 4100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 2.87% or 40.0 points to trade at 1355.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.41% or 50.0 points to end at 2025.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 2.12% or 800.0 points to 36900.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.26% or 0.32 to $121.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.12% or 63.50 to hit $3056.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1217.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.87% to 3089.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.40% to 854.68.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.84.
