Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.00% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.7060 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 0.55% or 0.0160 points to end at 2.9090 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 0.41% or 0.0010 points to 0.2470 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.96% or 0.0340 points to trade at 1.7020 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 1.58% or 0.139 points to end at 8.645 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 1.29% or 0.0850 points to 6.4810.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.41% or 0.66 to $46.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.81% or 0.82 to hit $44.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.51% or 6.70 to trade at $1301.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1105, while EUR/GBP fell 1.17% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 97.21.
