Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.61% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 2.71% or 1400 points to trade at 53100 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) added 2.19% or 70 points to end at 3264 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.98% or 77 points to 3970 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Osem (TA:OSEM), which lost 1.70% or 135 points to trade at 7800 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.15% or 20 points to end at 1720 and Nice (TA:NICE) shed 1.10% or 260 points to 23390.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 136 and 130 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.66% or 0.63 to $38.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.67% or 0.27 to hit $40.32 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.68% or 21.40 to trade at $1251.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.8785, while EUR/ILS fell 0.26% to 4.3234.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.23.
