Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 6.91% or 0.62 points to trade at 9.59 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 5.36% or 8.7 points to end at 171.1 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 3.60% or 12.3 points to 354.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 2.35% or 0.50 points to trade at 20.80 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 2.07% or 0.2 points to end at 11.8 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was down 1.03% or 7.5 points to 722.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 88 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.97% or 0.92 to $45.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.00% or 0.49 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.66% or 7.80 to trade at $1187.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.2553, while USD/NOK rose 0.40% to 8.1120.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 94.28.
