Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Construction & Materials and Support Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which rose 5.37% or 0.48 points to trade at 9.44 at the close. Meanwhile, OCI (AMS:OCI) added 4.18% or 1.075 points to end at 26.775 and Aegon (AMS:AEGN) was up 3.01% or 0.158 points to 5.414 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group (AMS:NN), which fell 1.06% or 0.28 points to trade at 25.63 at the close. Altice NV (AMS:ATCA) declined 0.76% or 0.18 points to end at 23.55 and Heineken (AMS:HEIN) was down 0.36% or 0.25 points to 68.91.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 125 to 39 and 5 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 8.34% to 30.65.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.35% or 0.16 to $45.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.85% or 1.83 to hit $49.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1124.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1178, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.7272.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.02.
