Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 4.14% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.020 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 3.12% or 0.010 points to end at 0.330 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was up 2.27% or 0.010 points to 0.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 7.69% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 5.73% or 0.360 points to end at 5.920 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was down 4.76% or 0.015 points to 0.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 7 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) fell to all time lows; down 7.69% or 0.050 to 0.600. Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) fell to all time lows; down 4.76% or 0.015 to 0.300.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.07% or 0.96 to $45.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.95% or 0.46 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.10 to trade at $1104.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.2995, while EUR/PEN fell 0.07% to 3.5887.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 98.10.
