Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group (MI:LUX), which rose 2.39% or 1.13 points to trade at 48.38 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) added 2.12% or 0.030 points to end at 1.448 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 1.69% or 0.19 points to 11.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which lost 3.37% or 0.5900 points to trade at 16.9100 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 3.29% or 0.102 points to end at 2.994 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) shed 2.98% or 0.1240 points to 4.0340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 178 and 15 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.96% or 1.03 to $53.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.45% or 0.86 to hit $60.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.39 to trade at $1271.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.1585, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 94.92.
