Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.23% or 1.08 points to trade at 26.63 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) added 0.97% or 1.6 points to end at 165.8 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 0.47% or 1.2 points to 258.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which lost 2.30% or 3.5 points to trade at 148.7 in late trade. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 1.96% or 4.9 points to end at 245.5 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 1.58% or 4.9 points to 305.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 392 to 219 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.61% or 0.81 to $49.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 0.92 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1248.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.42% to 9.6663, while USD/SEK rose 0.38% to 8.6649.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 96.85.
