Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.26% or 51 points to trade at 4085 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 0.25% or 40 points to end at 15890 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 0.21% or 30 points to 14150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Discount (TA:DSCT), which fell 2.77% or 20.7 points to trade at 726.8 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 2.69% or 1600 points to end at 57910 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was down 2.52% or 6.0 points to 232.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 191 to 123 and 134 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $45.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.71% or 1.33 to hit $47.75 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.91% or 21.30 to trade at $1138.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.64% to 3.9025, while EUR/ILS fell 0.51% to 4.4100.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.78% at 95.36.
