"Northeast part of BC" is what I meant to say.
The Nortwest part of BC is a major oil and gas producing area, and strangely most of the population of BC in the south doesn't even realize it. Maybe Alberta should stop accepting all the oil and gas that BC ships east into Alberta in order to gain access to mainstream pipeline and petroleum transmission. Alberta's oil transportation system then has to move BC's oil further on, and now BC wants to block that! Ludicrous and deranged thinking from a government that is obviously trying to make a blackmail play to line it's pockets. BC gets the luxury and advantages of having the country's Pacific coastal shores, and wants to further take advantage of the rest of the country for that fact as well.Despicable!
