Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 3.05% or 0.27 points to trade at 9.12 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 0.96% or 0.28 points to end at 29.48 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.58% or 0.24 points to 41.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 4.03% or 9.80 points to trade at 233.50 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.87% or 1.1 points to end at 28.1 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 3.15% or 14.7 points to 452.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 66 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.11% or 1.68 to $52.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 3.08% or 1.76 to hit $55.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.84% or 9.85 to trade at $1183.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 9.0365, while USD/NOK rose 0.15% to 8.5485.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 101.95.
