Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.86% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which rose 6.98% or 0.460 points to trade at 7.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 5.07% or 0.55 points to end at 11.40 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 5.02% or 0.16 points to 3.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which fell 2.83% or 1.30 points to trade at 44.60 at the close. Sasa Polyester (IS:SASA) declined 2.64% or 0.060 points to end at 2.210 and Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY) was down 1.79% or 0.020 points to 1.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 282 to 110 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1146.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.56% or 0.27 to hit $48.26 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.15 to trade at $51.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.88% to 2.9321, while EUR/TRY fell 1.09% to 3.2992.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.58.
