Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 1.24% or 230 points to trade at 18710 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 0.82% or 460 points to end at 56490 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 0.65% or 90 points to 14000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which fell 3.02% or 108 points to trade at 3473 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 3.00% or 2190 points to end at 70770 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 2.81% or 33 points to 1142.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 216 to 137 and 102 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.02% or 108 to 3473. Shares in Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.00% or 2190 to 70770.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.14% or 0.41 to $36.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $36.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.10 to trade at $1075.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.40% to 3.8979, while EUR/ILS rose 0.91% to 4.2751.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 98.14.
