Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Materials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 2.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 0.54% or 0.45 points to trade at 83.20 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) fell 0.50% or 1.6 points to end at 321.4 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 0.62% or 1.40 points to 223.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 7.77% or 0.40 points to trade at 4.75 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 6.32% or 3.10 points to end at 47.80 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 4.96% or 6.7 points to 128.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 157 to 26 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.86% or 0.42 to $49.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.79% or 0.41 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.07 to trade at $1256.63 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.4021, while USD/NOK rose 0.46% to 8.4440.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.43.
