Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 3.04%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 9.52% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel (IS:VESTL) added 8.55% or 0.300 points to end at 3.810 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 7.17% or 0.80 points to 11.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 3.64% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 1.76% or 0.40 points to end at 22.30 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was down 0.79% or 0.20 points to 25.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 353 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.53% or 17.60 to $1136.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.29% or 1.26 to hit $39.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.75% or 0.74 to trade at $43.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 2.9306, while EUR/TRY fell 2.22% to 3.3442.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.36% at 94.65.
