Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Trade and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite lost 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Benakat Integra Tbk (JK:BIPI), which rose 33.33% or 18 points to trade at 72 at the close. Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM) added 24.17% or 580 points to end at 2980 and Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) was up 23.32% or 104 points to 550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bumi Citra Permai Tbk (JK:BCIP), which lost 10.00% or 17 points to trade at 153 in late trade. Capitol Nusantara Indonesia (JK:CANI) declined 10.00% or 160 points to end at 1440 and Mulia Industrindo Tbk (JK:MLIA) shed 9.85% or 65 points to 595.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 106 and 98 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.55% or 0.30 to hit $55.22 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.70% or 7.95 to trade at $1134.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.52% to 13447.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.26% to 9721.40.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 103.35.
