Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Insurance and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which rose 7.87% or 0.170 points to trade at 2.330 at the close. Celebi (IS:CLEBI) added 7.46% or 1.50 points to end at 21.60 and Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) was up 4.47% or 0.110 points to 2.570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which lost 4.46% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.070 in late trade. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) declined 4.42% or 0.050 points to end at 1.080 and Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) shed 3.81% or 0.28 points to 7.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 199 to 121 and 87 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.45% or 5.85 to $1317.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.84% or 1.27 to hit $43.43 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.58% or 1.21 to trade at $45.68 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.25% to 2.9654, while EUR/TRY rose 0.62% to 3.3236.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 95.64.
