Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.37%, while the SZSE Component index gained 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co Ltd Tianjin (SS:603969), which rose 10.08% or 0.64 points to trade at 6.99 at the close. DELIXI XINJIANG Transportation Co Ltd (SS:603032) added 10.02% or 1.43 points to end at 15.70 and Shanghai Weaver Network Co Ltd (SS:603039) was up 10.00% or 8.59 points to 94.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shanghai LongYun Advertising & Media Co Ltd (SS:603729), which lost 10.00% or 2.25 points to trade at 20.24 in late trade. Shangying Global Co Ltd (SS:600146) declined 9.99% or 1.18 points to end at 10.63 and Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687) shed 9.97% or 0.660 points to 5.960.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (SZ:000766) which rose 10.07% to 7.98, Beijing Easpring Material Tech (SZ:300073) which was up 10.00% to settle at 24.96 and Zhejiang Zhongcheng Packing Material Co Ltd (SZ:002522) which gained 9.98% to close at 5.07.
The worst performers were Shenwu Environmental Tech (SZ:300156) which was down 9.05% to 6.13 in late trade, Guangdong Tapai Group Co Ltd (SZ:002233) which lost 7.72% to settle at 12.43 and Hangzhou Robam Appliances Co Ltd (SZ:002508) which was down 6.89% to 22.98 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 893 to 433 and 116 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.28.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.75% or 9.00 to $1194.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $67.72 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.37% or 0.28 to trade at $74.50 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.44% to 6.8718, while EUR/CNY rose 0.16% to 7.9466.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.27.
