Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite added 2.70%, while the SZSE Component index gained 3.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Yaxing Chem (SS:600319), which rose 10.10% or 0.410 points to trade at 4.470 at the close. Chunghsin Technology Group Co Ltd (SS:603996) added 10.05% or 0.860 points to end at 9.420 and Neusoft Corp (SS:600718) was up 10.05% or 0.990 points to 10.840 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zhejiang Shenghua Biok Biology Co Ltd (SS:600226), which lost 10.03% or 0.370 points to trade at 3.320 in late trade. Jiangsu Hongtu High Technology Co Ltd (SS:600122) declined 10.00% or 0.740 points to end at 6.660 and Eastern Gold Jade Co Ltd (SS:600086) shed 9.96% or 1.000 points to 9.040.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Beijing Baofeng Technology Co Ltd (SZ:300431) which rose 10.04% to 10.30, Zhejiang Sanhua Co Ltd (SZ:002050) which was up 10.04% to settle at 12.49 and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co Ltd (SZ:002236) which gained 10.04% to close at 13.04.
The worst performers were Maanshan Fangyuan Slewing Ring Co Ltd (SZ:002147) which was down 10.02% to 11.95 in late trade, Guangdong Homa Appliances Co Ltd (SZ:002668) which lost 10.00% to settle at 7.74 and ORG Packaging Co Ltd (SZ:002701) which was down 1.47% to 5.37 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1424 to 39 and 7 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 29.45.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1236.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $63.41 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.16 to trade at $72.73 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.41% to 6.8952, while EUR/CNY fell 0.18% to 7.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.93.
