Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Life Insurance, Travel & Leisure and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.19%, while the SZSE Component index fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Liaoning Hongyang Energy Resource Invest Co Ltd (SS:600758), which rose 10.09% or 0.33 points to trade at 3.60 at the close. Wolong Real Estate Group Co Ltd (SS:600173) added 10.09% or 0.350 points to end at 3.820 and Hunan Huasheng Co Ltd (SS:600156) was up 10.06% or 0.340 points to 3.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Angel Yeast Co Ltd (SS:600298), which lost 10.01% or 2.770 points to trade at 24.910 in late trade. Shanghai Rongtai Health Technology Corp Ltd (SS:603579) declined 10.01% or 3.62 points to end at 32.54 and Tonghua Dongbao Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SS:600867) shed 9.96% or 1.370 points to 12.380.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were JANUS Dongguan Precision Components Co Ltd (SZ:300083) which rose 10.19% to 2.92, Faw Car Co Ltd (SZ:000800) which was up 10.03% to settle at 6.80 and COFCO Property Group Co Ltd (SZ:000031) which gained 10.00% to close at 5.17.
The worst performers were Huadong Medicine Co Ltd (SZ:000963) which was down 6.62% to 35.00 in late trade, Changchun High & New Technology Industries Group Inc (SZ:000661) which lost 6.07% to settle at 162.30 and Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Co Ltd (SZ:000860) which was down 5.67% to 36.95 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 959 to 435 and 68 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 6.52% to 30.56.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.65% or 8.00 to $1237.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.14% or 0.77 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.00% or 0.77 to trade at $76.12 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.11% to 6.9562, while EUR/CNY rose 0.19% to 7.9154.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.35.
