Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.40% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.17% or 65.0 points to trade at 3060.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.62% or 20.0 points to end at 1255.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 1.58% or 150.0 points to 9650.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 1.19% or 6.0 points to trade at 497.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.01% or 100.0 points to end at 9800.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.54% or 360.0 points to 65720.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.43% or 3.06 to $122.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.21% or 23.00 to hit $1883.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.55% or 19.60 to trade at $1246.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.21% to 3016.25, while BRL/COP fell 1.46% to 916.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.75.
