Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 2.83% or 320.0 points to trade at 11640.0 at the close. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 2.65% or 1000.0 points to end at 38800.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 2.06% or 520.0 points to 25740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 0.64% or 25.0 points to trade at 3900.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 0.63% or 100.0 points to end at 15800.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 0.48% or 120.0 points to 25100.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.66% or 0.85 to $129.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.58% or 18.00 to hit $3069.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.13% or 14.35 to trade at $1279.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.18% to 2938.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.37% to 852.09.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 93.82.
