Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.22% or 65.0 points to trade at 2995.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 1.59% or 460.0 points to end at 29360.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.83% or 240.0 points to 29000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.12% or 20.0 points to trade at 1770.0 in late trade. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) declined 1.02% or 400.0 points to end at 38700.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.00% or 100.0 points to 9900.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.98% or 1.25 to $126.03 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.42% or 27.50 to hit $1906.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1266.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 3010.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.67% to 930.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 93.55.
