Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.47% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.40% or 240.0 points to trade at 10240.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.12% or 65.0 points to end at 3125.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 2.01% or 1180.0 points to 59900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 21.79% or 1120.0 points to trade at 4020.0 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 8.73% or 1720.0 points to end at 17980.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 7.05% or 80.0 points to 1055.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.87% or 1.00 to $113.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 2.56% or 56.00 to hit $2134.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.30 to trade at $1227.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.37% to 3202.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.70% to 843.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.593.
