Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.36% or 10.7 points to trade at 328.7 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 2.41% or 28.0 points to end at 1192.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 1.31% or 4.8 points to 371.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which lost 1.60% or 5.2 points to trade at 320.2 in late trade. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) declined 1.49% or 3.50 points to end at 231.80 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 1.01% or 2.3 points to 224.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.41% or 1.39 to $56.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.08% or 1.31 to hit $61.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1266.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.28% to 6.3100, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4419.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.56.
