Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.85% or 1.39 points to trade at 50.15 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.19% or 0.1650 points to end at 7.6950 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.83% or 0.120 points to 6.695 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 0.82% or 0.05 points to trade at 6.02 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.27% or 0.10 points to end at 36.78 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.20% or 0.04 points to 20.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 46 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.63% or 0.39 to $61.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $55.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.64 to trade at $1281.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1776, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.76.
