Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 4.03% or 19.9 points to trade at 514.0 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 2.43% or 540 points to end at 22790 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 2.16% or 580 points to 27380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 2.00% or 1380 points to trade at 67720 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 1.87% or 540 points to end at 28290 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.81% or 44 points to 2386.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 226 to 184 and 10 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $51.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.29% or 0.17 to hit $58.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.98 to trade at $1283.22 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.17% to 3.5058, while EUR/ILS fell 0.08% to 4.1280.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.42.
