Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.62% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 7.23% or 152 points to trade at 2255 at the close. Partner (TA:PTNR) added 5.18% or 69 points to end at 1400 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 1.91% or 620.0 points to 33040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 2.71% or 221 points to trade at 7921 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 1.84% or 520 points to end at 27770 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 0.18% or 0.7 points to 382.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 186 and 28 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.18% or 0.83 to $69.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $73.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1247.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.6454, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.2599.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.48.
