Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 5.58% or 107 points to trade at 2025 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 4.51% or 364 points to end at 8430 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was up 3.83% or 1.4 points to 38.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT), which lost 5.97% or 2710 points to trade at 42650 in late trade. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 1.23% or 26 points to end at 2090 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) shed 0.43% or 0.8 points to 184.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 157 and 27 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $65.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $70.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.60 to trade at $1186.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.6727, while EUR/ILS rose 0.15% to 4.1838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 96.36.
