Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 0.25% or 0.07 points to trade at 28.33 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.17% or 0.04 points to end at 23.32 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 55.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 3.54% or 0.195 points to trade at 5.315 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 2.59% or 0.310 points to end at 11.660 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.91% or 0.230 points to 11.840.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 43 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.72% or 0.35 to $48.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.63% or 0.29 to hit $46.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 7.86 to trade at $1241.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.1568, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.8865.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 94.39.
