Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB), which rose 4.04% or 5.140 points to trade at 132.400 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) added 2.28% or 8.61 points to end at 386.54 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) was up 1.59% or 2.20 points to 140.99 in late trade.
Biggest losers included VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which lost 2.40% or 0.36 points to trade at 14.61 in late trade. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) declined 2.35% or 0.36 points to end at 14.93 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) shed 1.67% or 13.75 points to 811.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 177 to 112 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.60 to $1203.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.47% or 1.01 to hit $69.69 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.29% or 1.01 to trade at $79.06 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.15% to 18.8092, while EUR/MXN fell 0.24% to 21.9520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.19.
