Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which rose 6.34% or 0.90 points to trade at 15.10 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) added 3.05% or 2.04 points to end at 68.88 and Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) was up 2.46% or 0.38 points to 15.84 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA), which lost 3.32% or 28.25 points to trade at 823.51 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB de CV Class B (MX:BSMXB) declined 1.27% or 0.380 points to end at 29.500 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) shed 0.93% or 0.490 points to 52.190.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 139 to 132 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.40 to $1201.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $67.84 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.69% or 0.53 to trade at $77.03 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.66% to 19.3128, while EUR/MXN rose 0.13% to 22.3254.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 95.34.
