Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.27% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which rose 4.21% or 0.820 points to trade at 20.300 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) added 1.72% or 1.550 points to end at 91.820 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 1.59% or 0.350 points to 22.340 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which lost 3.03% or 1.900 points to trade at 60.800 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 2.50% or 8.28 points to end at 322.86 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) shed 2.19% or 1.68 points to 74.87.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 151 to 66 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.28 to $1280.18 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.14% or 1.78 to hit $54.98 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.13 to trade at $61.55 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.03% to 19.1617, while EUR/MXN rose 0.01% to 22.6132.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 93.72.
