Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods & Services, Industrials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA), which rose 1.41% or 0.270 points to trade at 19.360 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 1.07% or 5.01 points to end at 471.24 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 0.90% or 0.210 points to 23.530 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which lost 3.87% or 0.63 points to trade at 15.67 in late trade. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 2.65% or 0.440 points to end at 16.180 and Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) shed 2.35% or 1.510 points to 62.620.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 125 to 89 and 3 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.89% or 11.41 to $1286.31 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $55.66 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.78% to 18.6765, while EUR/MXN rose 0.80% to 21.9342.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.53.
