Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Staples and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 3.86% or 0.710 points to trade at 19.110 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 3.52% or 0.510 points to end at 15.000 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was up 1.85% or 0.420 points to 23.180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB), which lost 4.09% or 4.700 points to trade at 110.170 in late trade. GMexico Transportes SA de CV (MX:GMXT) declined 3.45% or 1.020 points to end at 28.530 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) shed 3.36% or 5.98 points to 171.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 161 to 154 and 19 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 1.70 to $1228.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.44% or 0.91 to hit $62.19 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.83% or 1.34 to trade at $71.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.80% to 19.7261, while EUR/MXN fell 0.72% to 22.5220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 96.09.
