Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which rose 2.90% or 0.290 points to trade at 10.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) added 2.78% or 1.570 points to end at 58.030 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) was up 2.18% or 0.920 points to 43.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB), which fell 1.37% or 3.540 points to trade at 255.510 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 1.08% or 2.890 points to end at 263.910 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 0.82% or 0.270 points to 32.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 107 to 67 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.24% or 2.60 to $1075.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.35% or 0.14 to hit $41.58 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.27 to trade at $44.45 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.56% to 16.5272, while EUR/MXN fell 1.33% to 17.6009.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 99.65.
