Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Tourism and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 5.78% or 1.20 points to trade at 21.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Migros Ticaret (IS:MGROS) added 4.48% or 0.75 points to end at 17.50 and AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) was up 3.30% or 0.030 points to 0.940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which fell 4.21% or 0.420 points to trade at 9.560 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.17% or 0.010 points to end at 0.240 and Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) was down 3.10% or 0.31 points to 9.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 203 to 200 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.11% or 12.50 to $1114.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.29% or 0.13 to hit $45.36 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.23 to trade at $48.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.38% to 3.0252, while EUR/TRY fell 1.11% to 3.3793.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 96.50.
