Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.01% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.3110 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.99% or 0.0710 points to end at 3.6320 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 1.48% or 0.0540 points to 3.7050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 1.01% or 0.0330 points to trade at 3.2230 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.63% or 0.0900 points to end at 14.1050 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.45% or 0.0240 points to 5.3350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.20% or 0.64 to $54.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.50 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.87 to trade at $1342.63 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.9137.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.09.
