Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media, Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 5.30% or 1.80 points to trade at 35.79 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 4.84% or 9.6 points to end at 208.1 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 3.22% or 10.7 points to 343.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 5.14% or 0.91 points to trade at 16.79 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 2.15% or 1.75 points to end at 79.50 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 1.11% or 1.70 points to 156.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 87 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $49.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.33% or 0.18 to hit $54.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 12.53 to trade at $1351.53 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.3156, while USD/NOK fell 0.60% to 7.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 91.54.
