Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Commercial Service And Supplies and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 7.29% or 4.80 points to trade at 70.65 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 3.14% or 3.8 points to end at 124.8 and Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC) was up 2.67% or 0.15 points to 5.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which lost 2.79% or 2.12 points to trade at 73.80 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 1.68% or 2.5 points to end at 146.5 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.63% or 5.6 points to 339.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 77 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.57% or 1.07 to $67.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.24% or 0.19 to hit $77.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1300.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 9.5526, while USD/NOK rose 0.06% to 8.1867.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.08.
