Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.39% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 7.36% or 16.5 points to trade at 240.7 at the close. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 5.71% or 11.50 points to end at 213.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 4.16% or 0.80 points to 20.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 3.87% or 12.4 points to trade at 308.2 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.64% or 0.19 points to end at 5.03 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 2.82% or 5.2 points to 179.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 80 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.27% or 0.13 to $47.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $50.72 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 4.92 to trade at $1229.12 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 9.3665, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.5714.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 99.09.
