Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.41% or 1.21 points to trade at 36.66 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.93% or 0.48 points to end at 16.68 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.15% or 1.65 points to 78.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.21% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.65 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.81% or 2.00 points to end at 108.30 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 1.47% or 1.0 points to 67.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 81 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.62% or 0.45 to $71.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.32% or 0.26 to hit $81.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.00 to trade at $1199.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.5309, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.1090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.81.
