Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Energy and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.58% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.18% or 6.8 points to trade at 318.3 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 1.22% or 0.07 points to end at 5.80 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was up 0.57% or 0.1 points to 8.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 5.71% or 1.6 points to trade at 26.4 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 4.96% or 12.0 points to end at 229.9 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) shed 3.38% or 4.4 points to 125.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 62 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.57% or 1.37 to $36.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 3.87% or 1.56 to hit $38.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.69% or 20.90 to trade at $1214.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.43% to 9.4595, while USD/NOK rose 0.41% to 8.3088.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.70.
