Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 0.77% or 1.1 points to trade at 142.0 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) fell 0.81% or 2.0 points to end at 244.3 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was down 0.89% or 0.50 points to 55.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 4.13% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.92 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.79% or 0.7 points to end at 16.7 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 3.49% or 0.3 points to 8.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 143 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.06% or 1.36 to $45.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.71% or 1.26 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.65 to trade at $1343.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.21% to 9.1255, while USD/NOK fell 0.16% to 8.1002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.11.
