Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 5.33% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.580 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.33% or 0.030 points to end at 0.930 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.16% or 0.012 points to 0.392 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 2.34% or 0.320 points to trade at 13.380 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 2.21% or 0.030 points to end at 1.330 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 1.86% or 0.77 points to 40.63.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 9 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.46% or 1.13 to $47.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.95% or 12.43 to trade at $1326.53 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2385, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.59.
